Welcome to U.S. History!  This is a 2 term class.  Student syllabus and expectations will be attached at the bottom of this post.


8th Grade U.S. History Syllabus

Instructor:  Mrs. Meyer

Textbook:  United States History:  Beginnings to 1877 by Holt
Textbooks are available during class and may be checked out.  They will not be assigned for the entire term.

I.  EXPECTATIONS
       1. RESPECT yourself and others
       2. Do your Best
       3. Accept Responsibility for your actions.
       4. Be prepared.

II.  You will need:
            *A 3-subject notebook or loose leaf paper
            *A folder or 3-ring binder for your assignments
            *Colored pencils

III.  Bring with you daily:
            *Pencil or pen to write with
            *Your notebook
            *Your textbook and assignment
            *A good attitude and some enthusiasm!!

IV.  LATE WORK/HOMEWORK POLICY
Refer to the student handbook.  One day late - 25% off.  Two days late 50% off.  3 or more days the assignment receives a 0. If you do not have the assignment with you at the beginning of class it is considered late.  If you are absent the day of a test, the test will be taken the day you return.  Any assignments without a name will be discarded.

You are to be in the room when the bell rings.
